Heavy Equipment Instructor – Remote / Northern Work

Atlas Performance Diesel Inc. is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Instructors to support field-based training operations in remote and northern locations, including work within the Arctic Circle. This is a hands-on role that combines classroom theory with on-site instruction in real working environments.

Instructors must be able to clearly teach, demonstrate, and evaluate heavy equipment operation while leading by example with safety taking priority over production at all times. Extended out-of-town rotations are required.

Key Requirements:

• Class 1Q driver’s license an asset 

• Class 3Q required
   
• Clean 10-year commercial driver’s abstract
   
• First Aid Level C with AED
   
• Proven heavy equipment operating experience
   
• Ability to teach, mentor, and assess trainees
   
• Willingness to work extended remote rotations (10 weeks or more)

 We are seeking experienced Heavy Duty Mechanics to support fleet maintenance, repairs, and inspections for field operations and training equipment. This role may involve a combination of shop-based work and remote field support depending on project requirements.

Mechanics must work to a high standard of safety and workmanship, with a strong focus on reliability, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance.

Key Requirements:

• Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic
   
• Experience with heavy equipment, trucks, and diesel-powered equipment
   
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
   
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
   
• Commitment to safe work practices at all times
   
• Willingness to travel or support remote work as required

• First Aid Level C with AED

• Familiar with diagnosing and repairing emissions system failures
